Be present with what is in this final few days of the darkness. Find ways to enhance the opportunity to dream

MOON

In her waxing phase the moon is rising. This is the time for setting intentions and sowing seeds into the fertile dark. A time to initiate (not complete), to seed what you are calling into being. Think about the seeds you are keeping safe and warm this winter. Consider what direction they need to be planted and how you will give them what they need to take root. For now tend to them and keep them close imbuing them with strength and fortitude.

SUN

Sagittarius has navigated us through the darkness. At Winter Solstice Sagittarius passes us to Capricorn Season. Winter Solstice was traditionally celebrated at 0 degrees Capricorn. On December 22nd at 1:54pm the Sun will be 0 degrees Capricorn in conjunction with Mercury. Remember Mercury is still Retrograde (Rx) - in the signs of Sagittarius and Capricorn. Slow and steady as we navigate confusion, upheavals and delays.

Rebirth of the light ~ how can you honour this transition from the darkness and the return of the light

PRACTICE

Reflection is key ~ look how far you have come. Take a sacred pause. When we birth a baby we have something that has been coined ‘rest and be thankful’ that is the time before the baby descends and lands Earth-side. A sacred pause that is apparent in undisturbed birth (surges cease and the mother enters a dreamlike state) that allows the mother the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual out-breath to recognise that she has climbed the mountain. It is time to gather herself for the journey ahead. This time is the celestial equivalent. Even more so given that Mercury is really increasing the pause and inviting us to be fully present until the Gregorian New Year.

JOURNAL

How can I practice acknowledgment in this time of pause for all that has come to be. Can I acknowledge the fruits of my labours? What am I grateful for? Can I surrender to the greater plan for my life given the soul work I have put in? Perhaps share these prompts with your closest community / family / friends

Make the most of the final dreamtime gate of the year in the deepest darkness. Even if you don’t physically work with Amanita, this is the time to acknowledge that our ‘Hyperboreal’ Ancestors - the people ‘behind the North Winds’ would have enhanced their community dreams with Sacred Amanita Muscaria. The origins of Christmas and the red and white. The gifts down and up the chimney. Sacred hearth fires burning with community dreaming ritual.

Mugwort can support you into the dreamtime (Mugwort and Amanita together is a powerful combination)
