Have I expressed my inner Muse during this season? In what ways would I like to keep this archetypal energy alive in my life?

If you have found it hard to connect to the energies of this season (not unlikely given the wild times we are living in) journal how your inner Muse may need support to come alive and stoke your inner fire and passion

PLANT CONSCIOUSNESS

Elderflower is frothing her white blooms in abundance. Elder otherwise known as the ‘Elder Mother’ and ‘Medicine Chest of the People’ is an ancient and wise consciousness in these lands. Elder is incredibly powerful, yet very gentle despite her power and abundance of it. Like anything incredibly powerful it has been vilified and for many people in living memory it will evoke fear. This witches tree must be respected and more so than any other, must never be cut without first being granted permission. Both her petals and her berries are medicinal. Her intelligence within the body unmatched ~ cooling or heating as needed. Her bark, leaves and stalks are poisonous. She has earned her reputation through encounters with burning her wood and those in proximity hallucinating. Her leaves were used in heroic medicine as an emetic to bring on sickness. The stalks contain cyanide. So it is important to treat her with deep reverence. There are so many tales of Elder in folklore ~ if you feel so called do journey into the medicine of them. On a plant spirit level she offers powerful healing journeys. This wise crone will take us from the Apex of Summer and carry us through the winter. I am currently brewing an Elderflower and lemon balm fizz to enjoy at the Solstice

It is also a time to also connect with the seasons of the ineffable Rose and the wild Strawberries. Are you able to find the purity in their abundant offerings? The rich medicine that they offer despite what is happening in our inner and outer worlds? Mother nature sustains and consistently creates these incredible timely blooms. Strawberries are a wonder and are a member of the Rose family. The Hedge Roses as I like to refer to our native Rose kin that are abundant in these lands.

EMBODIMENT

How are you feeling as the energy heightens to a crescendo with the lunar reflection of the solar mid point - full moon landing at Litha?

Womb massage - are the roses in bloom where you are? Could you consider making a full bloom love potion to adorn yourself? Even a ritual adornment of placing the heart shaped petals on your body in places that need the caress of the soft loving feminine

INCANTATION

RITUAL

Create a piece of intuitive art that expresses your inner muse - the perfectionist has no place here - invite your womb song through in what ever way feels appropriate. Perhaps create something that continues to bloom towards the full moon and then witness what you see within it when the full moon rises. You could initiate by inviting this piece to reveal something to you in the way of divination
