Eclipse Season

Tomorrow the new moon repeats itself in Aries at the same time as we will have a rare solar eclipse. The solar light, this outward fire energy will for a moment go dark as we also enter Taurus season.

Are you able to tune back in to how you felt and where you were when the sun entered Aries and Spring began? Where you ready for it? If not you will likely find that Taurus season will really help you plant yourself fully present.

Eclipses bring with them a wild card energy and coupled with the thrust of Aries fire for a second time there is a sense of revisiting our initiations and having more courage to be bold, embodied and charge forward.

Aries activates our warrioress and our primal ‘I am’ survival mode as the sun (this governing body of solar self expression) enters into earthy sensual Taurus.

For a moment lunar consciousness will take centre stage and we will be thrust into the darkness. Now we have the ability to easily be aware of what is occurring through the cosmic cycles. I encourage you that no matter what anyone says - you approach this with your own intuitive understanding. Don’t be swayed but what you are told you are supposed to feel - instead be anchored in your truth.

Our ancestors (before those diligently plotting these events) would have likely been quite fearful of this sudden event in the sky (if they were within viewing range). Perhaps an echo of that in our epigenetics still dominates how we meet this phenomenon. I like to think of it as a great reminder that we are subject to the mystery, madness and magic of great mother

PLANT ALLIES

What stirs? What life wants to be birthed through your consciousness? Is there an intent that coupled with your agency and will power can be made manifest? Is there a particular plant ally that you could honour in simple ceremony and offer gratitude for its gifts in your life? The dandelion is now fully available in all of its medicinal and therapeutic glory - make the most of it!

RITUAL

Remembering the alchemy of fire and water consider a ritual fire and / or a fully charged moon water or potion under this powerful combination of celestial events. Perhaps something that will see you through when you need thrust and trust

SACRED ADORNMENT

Mud, Mud, glorious mud. Place your feet on the mother. Fully allow her electro-magentic charge and the living current of her beating heart reset your nervous system - even better - if you can, lay your body in the sweet earth

How can I cultivate a loving anchor in myself when there is so much shift, flux and instability? How do I cultivate resilience and find balance in the face of relentless movement? What did I initiate that I now need to Earth?

OFFERING

Make an offering of gratitude and a commitment to the earth

Enrich the soil for the coming cycle: This could be your moon blood, a song, a connection of your attention and time - feel into what the earth around you needs. Beyond imposing your mind machinations - ask to hear from her and directly tell you what she needs

Consider the circle of reciprocity

ALTAR

Change your altar to reflect a move into Earthy Taurus season. This is a strong, sensual sign that connects us to how we get embodied

PRACTICE

Turn to your nourishment. What is being called for on a bone deep level. How can you satiate your needs. Particularly if they weren’t fully met. Taurus season offers us a change to offer powerful embodiment practices to change the relationship we have with ourselves (and therefore everything). I encourage you to set up a Taurean Temple during this season - take some time to offer yourself carnal pleasures and delights. Switch on your innate sacred sensual nature
