The Sun is re-birthed in Capricorn Season which ends on January 19th when we move into Aquarius Season (remember Pluto has moved into Aquarius for the next 19 years and so powerful community, humanitarian shifts which bring that which has been in the underworld are expected to be seen with lightening speed)

ARCHETYPAL

Cancer represents the Mother and this full Moon is perfectly pitched with the Rebirth. Rather than focus on the newness of rebirth we must focus on the ones that support us to be rebirthed. To acknowledge how important it is to honour the great mother and to realise that in this great cycle of life how important it is. We have come from her waters and we must return to protecting the sanctity of these waters.

The Mountain Goat has two lithe feet placed earth side with two horns connected to spirit. With the Sun in its early beginnings the Capricorn carries it within its horns down the mountain to the earth.

Cancer Moon

The Water Mother. Cancer is the sign of Motherhood and is governed by the Moon. This is a sign of home and nurturance and reminds us to connect with what that means for us. What is home? How is it embodied in our lives and present. Is it aligned with our soul longing. In what way can we bring nurturing and creativity in to create a home for ourselves and others. Is home an abstract concept? Can we find a sense of home in the sanctity of our relationship to self? How can supportively and compassionately mother or remother ourselves?

ASPECTS

A couple of interesting conjunctions with this full illumination is the sun trining with Uranus and the Moon trining with Saturn. This would indicate to me that Uranus (the planet of unexpected and sudden change) and Saturn (generally associated with Karma) could bring about a sudden and unexpected karmic happening. Trines are generally considered to be beneficial and so something that needs releasing from your subconscious - if you are able to flow with it - may bring about a powerful shift for your consciousness and being.

ALCHEMY

Our Earthly water is governed by our Moon, and thus so are we duly influenced. Made of minerals stardust and a lot of water. The Moon was at its Perigree (closest to Earth) just before Solstice. This may feel particularly amplifying in the sense of our connection to home and the emotional waters that it provides. We are brought back to grass roots of gratitude and belonging.

INCANTATION

In this culminating moon I release all that is preventing a new root to emerge and a new dream to take place

OFFERING

If you are still in your bleeding years - have you offered your moon blood to the earth lately? Consider cultivating this as a regular practice of release to create a powerful connection to the earth your personal most potent offering, rich with stem cells. If you do not have a moon cycle then following that of the moon and waxing and waxing with it is a powerful practice to reclaim this for yourself. Any kind of healthful offering to the earth - bird food or honey will be a beautiful gift at this time
