Full Moon in Sagittarius! Sagittarius is the Fire Sign of the Seeker and Sagittarius has just moved into Cancer - the sign of the nurturer. As such this moon may have you visiting themes around Motherhood/Self nurturance. With Jupiter also at 0 degrees Cancer - there is something to be said about the expansion available to us in this realm at this time. How do we mother ourselves in the collective energies that are swirling, intense and relentless. It takes heart filled courage to send those powerful fiery arrows out into the world and to have a full insight into where your soul story belongs. The full moon is so active in its potency - being that is reflecting the full light of the peak of the solar energies. The Gemini sun is pollinating this power this Wednesday - A Mercurial day that only heightens the Air realms of Gemini and an 11 day - a powerful portal. The moon will be the lowest full Moon in the sky for nearly two decades - this won’t occur again until 2043

This is the final full moon in this half of the year before the Summer Solstice balances us on the threshold back towards the descent. This is the time to go big with your altar and fill it with the abundance of earth magic that is present as well as beginning to think about the balancing of the tipping point into the descent

ARCHETYPAL

The muse is ignited and her fullness illuminated. What has her creative nature awakened in you? Gemini season is a portal, a gateway marked by the glyph. It could also represent ‘other’ or two states in union or combined. Or perhaps the polarities at play in all aspects of life are being illuminated

PLANT CONSCIOUSNESS

Elderflower is frothing her white blooms in abundance. Elder otherwise known as the ‘Elder Mother’ and ‘Medicine Chest of the People’ is an ancient and wise consciousness in these lands. Elder is incredibly powerful, yet very gentle despite her power and abundance of it. Like anything incredibly powerful it has been vilified and for many people in living memory it will evoke fear. This witches tree must be respected and more so than any other, must never be cut without first being granted permission. Both her petals and her berries are medicinal. Her intelligence within the body unmatched ~ cooling or heating as needed. Her bark, leaves and stalks are poisonous. She has earned her reputation through encounters with burning her wood and those in proximity hallucinating. Her leaves were used in heroic medicine as an emetic to bring on sickness. The stalks contain cyanide. So it is important to treat her with deep reverence. There are so many tales of Elder in folklore ~ if you feel so called do journey into the medicine of them. On a plant spirit level she offers powerful healing journeys. This wise crone will take us from the Apex of Summer and carry us through the winter.

A time to also connect with the seasons of Rose in all of her forms - Rose is a huge family of our native hedge and orchard dwellers. Her powerful cooling, astringent and heart opening medicine is much needed in the height of the fire power and heat of the year. She will continue to blossom here throughout our hottest months and through the first part of the harvest before imparting her wisdom through her hips in the most powerful display of feminine curves
