The Altar of Balance ~ play with light, dark and everything between to create an altar that reflects your relationship to these seemingly paradoxical forms. How do we want to ignite balance with this reset energy towards the dark half of the year?

ARCHETYPAL

The Lady of Balance calls you to examine where the scales tip in your life and need to be adjusted. Aries asks you to see where you can ignite this change. Aries can connect us back to our own initiation in the world and to our inner child realms. How we were supported in this rite of passage and how our power was tended by those around us has shaped our formative grounding. We can can spend a lot of time tending our inner child and re-mothering or re-fathering ourselves. What is one way that you can connect to the fire power of you inner child and give some support to that part of yourself and the way it wishes or had wished to be expressed? Where did you want to express that something wasnt ok but you were small and seemingly powerless?

The hunters moon is where we gather in the harvest for the winter - getting the final things in place to support us for the winter months ahead

PLANT CONSCIOUSNESS

This season has me working with Mugwort deeply in many realms. I also regularly smoke her to work with her energy. I love herbal smokes and especially employing them in my work as needed.

The mycelia fruiting body allies are out in full force. Amanita Mascara is drying in preparation for medicines and birch polypore is under the full moon being imbibed by its rays. The mushroom kingdom is really advanced in composting and decaying old energies that need transmuting. I am fortunate that they often show up in my work as allies when I need their powerful support

EMBODIMENT RITUAL

Take some time to lie on the ground. You are the seed. Wait. Feel the spark of ignition come from within yourself - your heart or solar plexus. Dissolve into form and move from this place of fire. Don’t try to make shapes - allow your body to flow in the direction it wants to. Perhaps it feels to be still and ruminate in the smouldering. Notice your own life force energy and how it wants to express in you. How can you fan the flames of your hearth fire to keep it shining bright through these months. *If you are in the Southern Hemisphere - you are the seed shedding her coat - tenderly invite a sense of coming to life, be gentle with yourself as you emerge. The theme of containing or wielding our fire is a huge and expansive topic.

It is up to you whether you choose to journal your experience, to see if it invokes a powerful remembrance - or if just allow the movement practice to seep into you without needing to document it … to let it flow and go - neither is more right or wrong - listen to what you need
