Venus abundantly arrives in her earth form through the Roses, lilacs and other blooms of the rose family this season. Echoed in the five petals of this family is the Venus pathway dance that is made in the heavens.

The apple blossom (rose family) is at its peak during this season - in these lands the apple is the symbol of the goddess. Apples provide a fruit that sustains and endures through long periods of storage. It is a powerhouse of vitamins and micronutrients. Cider is the fermented traditional home brew of our land - originating in France where so much of our Arthurian legend has a home with the Cathars and the ancient lineages of lost land and peoples who protected the ‘grail’ secrets.

Apples in the bible represent that which was ‘unholy’ - to eat from the tree of wisdom got you demonised and kicked out of Eden. The encoding hidden here in this maligned fruit is a simple truth, barely veiled.

The truth is that a woman holy unto herself who devours the divine earthly gifts; tastes the sweet nectar of all of her desires; doesn’t bow to a man and sacrifice her self under patriarchal constraints; and prioritises self devotion over worship of other is DANGEROUS! To return to a place where the earth mother goddess is revered and our connection to her is strong and un-severed promotes community and mutual support.

The other thinly veiled story which has been corrupted in the bible is that of Mary Magdalene. This woman was not a ‘whore’ in the sense of an unclean seductress - but a holy Myrrophore - a woman of the Myrrh. A sacred order of Isis lineage that protected the secrets of anointing and transformation with cosmic earth medicine. She had to be de-throned in order to mask her immense power in this partnership with a man. Despite the fact she was the 13th disciple she was all but eradicated in the true gnosis of her role. That a woman meeting a truly whole man could anoint him to be sacred. She could reacquaint him with the earth mother body and resurrect him as her equal should he chose to walk willingly towards the crucible.

The holy whore is a concept that we are looking to reclaim. From the ancient roots of a woman whole, holy and fully unto herself. The primordial energy from which the spark of life force emerges. The everything and the No-thing. The goddess.

In the sentiment of Sacrifice - we sanctify and make sacred. But is this true? Sacrifice old ways of being yes - but never ourselves and our emotional (watery) safety in the process.

The Vestal Virgins that preside over the sacred waters with sacred alchemical flames offer succour and sustenance to the grail knights - the protectors of the sanctified goddess. All that changed when men sought to own, destroy and take power over

When we look to the ideation of the sacred union of heiros gamos in human form we see some typified symbology of perfection. Again we have to be careful here - a true sacred union is one that honours our human mess and the totality of life - not a small, unattainable idealistic vision which is performative. We can fall in and out of sacred union without two beings willing to be present. Sacred union happens in the place where we fully meet one another flaws and all and keep showing up in kind, loving presence with boundaries, needs, desires and equal balance of them. Until the balance can not be rebalanced and ultimately we have to call the end of the union

As the dark goddess rises and devours all that is not in full truth, presence, mud and magic may we seek to reclaim the lost fragmented soul parts and call in the sacred union of all beings, everywhere
